OSA Young Scientist Awards

Two awards will be presented jointly by the IMCO conference and OSA to junior scientists whose innovative contributions have made great scientific impact in the fields relevant to IMCO. The award is meant to acknowledge individuals in the early stage of his or her career no later than 15 years after the receipt of the doctoral degree.

Innovation Awards

Two awards will be presented jointly by the IMCO conference, Nature Communication and IOO Foundation to scientists whose innovative contributions have demonstrated great scientific impact and profound practical implications in the fields relevant to IMCO. In addition to academic publications, patents and commercialization efforts will also be emphasized during the evaluation of this award.

Nomination Process

All nominations must be submitted electronically to the nominee’s respective symposium chairs (see the bottom for the contact information of symposium chairs). Deadline: 31 March 2020 Self nominations are welcome. Nominators are to submit the following documents:

  • The nomination form (including a 100-word statement of achievement)
  • Curriculum Vitae including a list of publications and patent applications (highlight the ones granted)
  • Supporting documents (e.g. media coverage and proof of commercialization) if applicable
